We've been pretty busy gigging and it seems we keep forgetting to update our website. Well we'll be putting that to rights soon - there's a new demo and photos in the pipeline, and we'll be taking the opportunity for an online update and streamline, with more of the everyday stuff directed to Facebook, where we do most of our twittering... ... All going singingly...

Back in September we wished Ant a fond farewell as he departed on his round the world tour. Seems so long ago already! Up to the haloed mic steps Mr Mike Holness, with some big beardy boots to fill... Well we're glad to say he's doing a grand job! He's now had a full month of gigging and they've all been rousing successes, prompting comments such as "genius" and "look they've gone all pretty"! So onward and upward for the Pimps into 2009. We've got plenty of bookings in the diary already (haven't got round to putting them all on the website just yet) so if you're organising a party give us a call asap! Last minute Hard Rock gig cancellation

Much to the disappointment of all concerned, our gig at the Manchester Hard Rock Cafe on Friday 17th October ground to an abrupt halt when the Printworks Security wouldn't let us in the loading bay. Despite prior assurances from the Hard Rock management that this situation would not re-occur (a condition of our booking was suitable access) they did nothing to correct it, forcing us to abandon the gig. Bugger. Just wanted to get that off my chest....... [ More ]

Book early to avoid dissapointment

Well we're pleased to say that the pimp behemoth is gathering momentum & we're now having to turn down gigs because we're just too busy. We're solid until the end of October, & have bookings into August 2009 & enquiries into 2010! So we guess that means the advice is book early. Bring it on!... [ More ]

AudioPimps are now five

No we haven't been doing this for five years, it's more like four. But this is a big change as we're about to be joined by a fifth member, long time friend of the band & musical collaborator Mr Paul Kendrick. We're very excited about this as the addition of Paul's abilities will open our musical horizons so we can play a broader range of music with greater flair. More public gigs coming soon

Some of the more observant of you may have noticed that our gig diary is very bare. Do not fear as this situation will be rectified shortly. It has just been unfortunate timing that we're having a switch in line-up at the same time as Andy is about to become a father, so we've had to chill out for a second. As soon as Louise has completed her miracle we'll know where we stand and start pilling those gig dates in! In the meantime you have a choice opportunity to see the debut performance by Ant as we demolish the Hard Rock this very Friday.... [ More ]

Recent events in Vocalasia

Well it's been nearly 5 years since we began this pimping malarkey and how the time's flown. Throughout that we've had a pretty consistent line up, with only one change about 18 months ago when Ian left to pursue his writing ambitions & Dave took on the vacant guitarist chair. Now however it's time for another turning point in the AudioStory as Jonathan's decided to lay down his mic. Last week he delivered an captivating performance at a send off gig for family & friends at his uncle's pub which was a really fun night despite being the end of an era. At the same time Mr Ant Mulherin, friend of the band & massively respected voice of Manchester band All My Lies, had caught the travel bug & was about to disappear hobo style on a jaunt of unknown duration around the globe. But in one of those extraordinary coincidences, so perfectly timed it dares you to believe in fate, these plans have had to be postponed & now he joins us, coupling his pneumatic locomotive to the AudioPimps freight train!
